Our QLS-scope is the only optical device with a patented technology (SPOT) that can generate 3D fluorescence images with high spatial (<1 µm) and axial (< 1 µm) resolution, at 360º and for large cleared fixed samples (1 – 20 mm). For very transparent fixed and cleared samples, sometimes is enough to make SPIM measurements in two (0 and 180 degrees) or four (0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees) angles and recombine the images to create a 3D image. Our Hummingbird software is the only one capable of reconstructing images of SPIM of up to 4 angles of large (1-20mm) cleared samples.

Increased axial resolution

For large cleared samples if you are looking for either a larger field of view (stitching), a better spatial resolution (Sweep) or isotropic resolution through angular measurements (2, 4 or 500 angles), you need a very high measuring speed.
